WHAT IS NEENAH SC ACADEMY? 2026 REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Academy soccer offers a chance for players to enhance their development of the game through improved technical skills, tactical development, and building a foundation for future success.


  • What's Included?

    • Fall Season (Aug-Nov) 2 practices per week + games
    • Winter (Jan-Mar) 1 training session (included in fall registration or fall and spring registration)
    • Spring Season (Apr-Jun) 2 practices per week + games
    • 2 Tournaments per season. 

    The registration fee for 8U depends on if you are playing full year (both fall & spring), fall only or spring only.  Costs for full year is either $530 or $630.  Fall only cost is either $355 or $455 and Spring only cost is $275.


    The registration fee for 9/10U depends on if you are playing full year (both fall & spring), fall only or spring only.  Costs for full year is either $580 or $680.  Fall only cost is either $380 or $480 and Spring only cost is $300.


    Fees for tournaments are already included for both age groups.


    For Full Year & Fall Only seasons, there is a fundraiser that you can either do the buyout or sell car wash cards & make your money.  Spring only does not require a fundraiser.


    Additionally, there is a per player volunteer fee. For half season, the fee is $50. This can be earned back after volunteering 1.5  or more hours with the club. For the full season, the fee is $100. This can be earned back after volunteering 3 or more hours. Payment plans available. 


    Uniforms are extra, around $100 for the kit. 


    NSC believes that all children should be afforded the opportunity to play no matter the financial need. For this reason, we have a financial assistance program available. 


    Once you register your child/children for soccer on playmetrics there is a financial assistance section that we ask you to complete. Once you submit your information, it will be reviewed and based on how you have responded, NSC will present you an option for you to accept or deny. 


    If you accept the financial assistance offered, all we ask is that you complete the required number of volunteer hours set forth by NSC within the current soccer year. Volunteer hours that are not completed within the year may have an impact on future financial assistance requests. 


    Volunteer opportunities are offered during the year through email or a sign up. Our biggest volunteer needs are in the Fall our annual Copia Tournament and in the Spring on Mothers Day weekend for Flatgrass.

  • Where do I Play?

    Practices are held at Paper Valley Soccer Complex (1251 Earl St, Menasha, WI 54952) Tuesday's and Thursday's. 

    Playdates (Games) can be held between Appleton and Sheboygan. Our home games are played at the Paper Valley Soccer Complex.

    Tournaments can be held between the Fox Valley and Milwaukee area. 

  • Registration Steps

    1. Create an account and register for Neenah SC Academy. Registering prior to March 1st for spring season and Agust 1st for fall season guarantees placement on a team. Fees increase after these dates.
    2. After registration, all comunication will come to you via the Playmetrics app/account 
    3. When registration closes, players will receive a uniform ordering link from Stefans. 
    4. Late registrations will be considered only if space is available by coaching staff

    Academy players are welcome to join various Club camps, clinics, and programs offered throughout the year. 



Neenah SC Classic & Premier Teams

11U-19U

2026/2027 TRYOUTS REGISTRATION

Neenah SC Classic and Premier Teams are for soccer players that want a higher level of competition.  Staff Coaches work off of a developmental curriculum that builds off of each other from 11U-19U. All interested players must attend tryouts.

  • What's Included?

    Classic

    • Fall (August-Nov) 2 practices per week + games
    • Winter (Jan-Apr) 2 practices per week +friendlies
    • Spring (Apr-Jun) 2 practices per week + games
    • Tournaments *Flatgrass & Copia Cup

    Premier (State League or higher)

    • Fall (August-Nov) 3 practices per week + games
    • Winter (Jan-Apr) 2 practices per week +friendlies
    • Spring (Apr-Jun) 3 practices per week + games
    • Tournaments *Flatgrass & Presidents Cup/State Cup

    The registration fee depends on if you are playing on an East Central level team or a State League or higher level team.


    Fees for East Central level teams that play both the fall and spring seasons are between $680-$780.  


    Fees for East Central level teams that play either just a fall or just a spring season are between $480-$580.


    Fees for State League or higher level teams that play both the fall and spring season are between $830-$930.


    Fees for State League or higher level that play either just a fall or just a spring season are between $630-$730.


    All fees include the car wash fundraiser and tournament fees. Additionally, there is a per player volunteer fee. For half season, the fee is $50.   • How do Tryouts Work?

    Neenah SC Classic & Premier soccer starts with a Tryout. There is a $25 Tryout registration fee. 

    • Tryouts IN JUNE will be held Memorial park. Please refer to the Tryout Schedule. Field information will also be available in registration.
    • If you are not available for your tryout date you MUST complete registration and note the absence in the comments.
    • Neenah SC Staff coaches will assess players on a tryout day, and previous in-season evaluations. 
    • Players help us and themselves to position themselves most favorably when they attend both sessions. 
    • Previous team coaches evaluations are part of our evaluation process.

  • Registration Steps

    1. Create an account and register for Tryouts 2025/26. Registration is required. If you are unable to attend tryouts, your MUST complete registration and note the absence in the comments. 
    2. During registration you will find the date and time of your age groups tryout.
    3. Players need to accept or decline the offer by the deadline in the email. This will be 24 hrs from the time of offer.
    4.  Acceptance of the offer is only confirmed by fully completing the regisitration.
    5. After acceptance, in the 2 weeks that follow, you will recieve a uniform ordering link from Stephans if you are new to the club, or to everyone if its a "new kit year". This will be communicated by the club.

Age Group Requirements 

Beginning with the 2026–2027 season, U.S. Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer will transition from a calendar-year age grouping (January 1–December 31) to a seasonal-year age grouping (August 1–July 31).




  • Players may try out for one age group older than their assigned group.
  • Exception: High school–aged players are not eligible to try out for older age groups, as they are already pooled.

Playing in an Older Age Group

To be considered for placement in an older age group, players must meet the following criteria:

  1. Performance Level
  2. Rank within the top 25% of their current age group based on tryout assessments.
  3. Commitment & Attendance
  4. Commit to attending at least 90% of games and practices during the Fall and Spring seasons.
  5. Winter training attendance will be tracked, but 90% attendance is not required.
  6. If a player’s winter availability falls below 50%, this must be discussed with the Director of Coaching (DOC).
  7. Parent Conduct Expectations
  8. Parents must adhere to the NSC Parent Code of Conduct.
  9. The club enforces a one-strike policy—any violation may result in removal from the team for the Spring season or the following year.
  10. Final Placement Decisions
  11. All placement decisions are made by the Tryout Assessors and are final.

Additional Notes

  • These expectations primarily apply to players currently in the Classic program (not Academy).
  • Academy players advancing to U11 (based on grade/age requirements) may only try out for the U11 age group.
  • Players born in 2016 who will be entering 4th grade in Fall 2026 will not be eligible to try out in Spring 2026.

Soccer Parenting Disclaimer for Competitive Registration


Over the past few years, Neenah SC has been a member of Soccer Parenting, an organization created to mitigate the adversarial nature generally found between parents and coaches, and to increase agency of all groups within clubs and youth sports in general, creating an environment where everyone contributes positively to the players' experience and development.


As such, one of their best and simplest resources which encapsulates the organization's goals is the Sideline Project, a fifteen-minute module which goes through the science of why all of our behaviors (coaches and spectators) matter in youth games, where development and fun are the main goals. Neenah SC believes everyone has a part to play in every child's development, and the Sideline Project does a great job in explaining how we can all contribute.


Beginning in the 2026-2027 soccer year, there will be a requirement at registration for academy and classic to have had at least one person in the registrant's family/guardianship to have completed the Sideline Project. We believe this is a great first step in making sure everyone is familiar with expectations of sideline behavior which helps players grow and creates a safe environment for everyone to have fun and develop (coaches, players and referees). 


Completing the Sideline Project requires you to register for Soccer Parenting, which is free through Neenah SC. This will open the door to additional resources in the form of modules, webinars, articles, etc. for multiple sports and aspects of being a positive part of your child's growth through youth sports.


If someone in the registrant's household has already completed the Sideline Project in the past, they will be able to upload their certificate from the website.

*Volunteer Fee Prepayment: All families are required to volunteer either 1.5 hours (Spring or Fall Only Registration) or 3 hours (Full Year Registration) of volunteer time and are required to pay either $50 or $100 volunteer fee per child upfront during the registration process. The volunteer hours/player requirement must be completed before July 31, 2026. Failure to volunteer per player before July 31st will result in NSC retaining this money.
