As you are likely aware, NSC relies heavily on volunteers to keep its programs affordable. As a parent of a rec, academy or classic player, we require that you volunteer two hours/player before the soccer season ends (7/31/19). Please watch here (& your email) for links to sign up for these activities. All volunteer activities after 8/1/2018 will count toward your volunteer requirement for the 2018-19 season.
New this year: Classic and Academy Families must fulfill their hours at Flatgrass.
*Field Lining - We need a person to work with our fields director to check fields at Lakeview and Great Lawn on a weekly basis. It would involve touching up existing lines on the fields at Lakeview and the Memorial Park Great Lawn as needed. We will provide you with the necessary equipment to do it. This is an as needed volunteer spot running through October. Click here to sign up for this volunteer spot.
We're using SignUp.com (the leading online signup and reminder tool) to organize our upcoming activity.
Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

As part of the Spring Recreational (Fall Elementary School Recreational League does not pay the $50 volunteer buyout), Academy League and Classic registrations, you will be required to pay a $50/player pre-payment of volunteer buyout fees (Family max of $100). In turn, NSC will reimburse you this money after you volunteer two hours. Your volunteer hours must be completed by the end of the soccer season for the year you registered for (Soccer Season runs August 1, 2018-July 31, 2019). If you do not volunteer during the Soccer Season, your volunteer buyout fee will be used toward club operating expenses. See document below for details.
Saturday, April 8th

As part of our partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance, we will be hosting player and parent workshops. Our goal is to have nearly our entire roster of classic players at this event, with a one or more parents in attendance. Two hours of time will make a difference in how we work together as a unified club family.
The parent’s workshop will be from 10-11 am. While the parents participate in their session, the players will have the opportunity to create selfie props, pose in front of our Instagram frame pop and make a soccer ball from plastic bags.
The players will have their workshop from 11-12. Parents are welcome to stay for snacks and networking. If you want to create props and make a ball, that’s fine too!
We need volunteers to make this event a success! If you are willing to help in any of the following areas, please signup through signup.com. The link to this signup will be posted at the NSC home page by 3/19.
In order to have books for everyone, we need families to register by Friday, March 24th. Registration is through SportsEngine, if you have used SportsEngine in the past, please use that login to register, if not, you will be asked to create an account.
