Neenah Soccer Club relies heavily on volunteers to keep programs affordable. All recreational, academy and classic program families are required to volunteer for two hours per player prior to the end of each soccer season (July 31). Classic and Acadamy families are required to volunteer their hours during the Scheels Flatgrass Showdown tournament.
Upon fulfilling your required volunteer hours, Neenah Soccer Club will reimburse $50/player ($100 family maximum) that was paid during registration. Thank you for your understanding, and for your work and your time, and for being a part of what makes our club so great!
Neenah Soccer Club also recently introduced a benefit structure for those who choose to donate their time and energy to the club in the form of serving on the Board or Committees. Please see below for additional information.
When you register your player for the Academy, Classic or Spring Recreational programs, you will be charge a $50 per player fee ($100 maximum per family). Note: If you are registering more than two players, please contact Mandy Fleege.
Throughout the year, you will be offered a number of different opportunities to volunteer and serve your required two hours to earn back your buyout fee. Classic and Academy families are required to fulfill their hours at the annual Scheels Flatgrass Showdown in May. Communication about all opportunities will be sent via email, as well as posted on our NSC website and social media pages. Please keep your eyes peeled, as volunteer spots fill up quickly! If you have questions or concerns, please contact Erin Johnson, Volunteer Coordinator.
If volunteer hours are not fulfilled by the end of the season (July 31st), the pre-paid buy-out fee(s) will go toward the NSC Scholarship program. There will be no exceptions to this policy.
If you registered via Demosphere, the month after you have fulfilled your volunteer requirement, we will refund your buyout via the method you paid for your registration. If this method will not work for your family, the NSC Volunteer Coordinator will schedule an allotted time and location for parents to pick up their reimbursed funds. At that time, only the parent(s) of the registered player(s) will be eligible to pick up their buyout money; you will not be able to pick up the buyout money for a friend, a neighbor, or another family member.
Unpaid/Unclaimed Buyout Fees
Parents who volunteer may elect to donate their money to Neenah Soccer Club. Upon request, a tax deductible receipt will be given to these parents. Records will be kept of who did/did not collect their buyout.

Question and Answer:
Does “helping” my rec coach if he or she is not able to be there for a game or practice count towards my volunteer hours? NO, this will not. If a coach cannot complete their season and you are stepping in to coach and the club has been notified, then this will count.
Are there Rec Team parents? This was something in the past. NO, there will no longer be team parents for Rec soccer. This is no longer offered as a volunteer option as we have plenty of coaches and now master coaches on the field that can assist.
How can I find out about volunteer opportunities? When there is a need, an email will be sent out to all members notifying you of the volunteer opportunity with a link to sign up for that volunteer opportunity at Signup.com.
The sign up is full, now what? Sign ups fill up fast, we have over a 1,000 members, keep watching your email, and check the sign up often. People do cancel their spots last minute, sometimes we catch them and send reminders, sometimes we are not able to.
I put in my 2 hours, when will I get my buyout? Please allow at least 1 week after the event to be refunded. New this year! We are all on Demosphere which means, automatic refunds! You will be refunded via the method you paid or the credit card we have on file in demosphere. You will receive an email message letting you know a refund was made and the credit will show up from Neenah Soccer Club.
